Deepika Padukone is enjoying honor and privileges as her film Padmaavat has finally got screen space around cinema-ghars after a long and difficult battle against the protests and bans. Not only release but her movie has crossed Rs 100 crore marks in the first week at the box office.
However, between all her fame and recognition she couldn’t hold back her tears when her father, badminton player Prakash Padukone, received the lifetime achievement award by the Badminton Association of India.
The 32-year-old actress was looking stunning in a silk sari and long-sleeved blouse for the event. While Deepika shared the invitation card for the event, badminton player PV Sindhu also shared her selfie with the Padukone family.
Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu presented the prestigious award to Prakash Padukone. Badminton player PV Sindhu was also present at the event. Sidhu met met Deepika and her father with a broad smile. Deepika was in Delhi with mother Ujjala and sister Anisha to cheer on her father as he was felicitated by the Badminton Association of India (BAI) with Lifetime Achievement Award.
