Indian cricket team skipper, Virat Kohli has fans all across the world and several Indians residing in South Africa had come out to watch the Newlands match. Virat scored only 5 and 28 in his two innings and seemed quite unhappy with the overall batting performance by his team on a pitch where the bowlers had run riot.
 
Though there were a few hopes of India’s victory, the guest batsmen were seen struggling for most parts of the first test match. There were many Indian fans who felt disheartened seeing their country’s team struggling with hosting countries lethal bowlers.

The Indian bowlers had given India big hopes after dismissing South Africa’s brilliant batting line-up for 130 in their second innings, but our batsmen couldn’t stand in front of pacer Vernon Philander who scalped six wickets. In pursuit of 208 runs, India lost wickets in bunches and were wrapped out for 135 in the final session, which resulted in their 72-run loss.
