The ‘men in blue’ are enjoying their short break between the second and third Test against Sri Lanka. After playing two hectic consecutive test matches against Sri Lanka players have got four days to refresh themselves ahead of third match.Captain Virat Kohli is back in his hometown as the third and final Test of the series is scheduled to be played in Delhi.
In between all, Virat decided to have an early interaction with his fans on Wednesday, and so he takes it totwitter to ask his fans about their plans of the day. He wrote:
“Morning everyone, my day has started. What are you guys upto? ”
Fans got overwhelmed and showered him with retweets.
Kohli has taken rest from OdIs against Sri Lanka, and is still not certain for Twenty 20 series. He will decide on his participation after consulting the team management and the selection committee later this week.
A BCCI official said on Tuesday “Virat has told the selectors that he needs some time to take a call on whether he will be playing the T20s or not. That’s reason why they have not announced the T20 squad,”
On the evening of the 1st Test match,Virat had said that he will ask for rest when needed.He said-
“Definitely I do need rest, why don’t I need rest? When I think of the time my body should be rested, I’ll ask for it. I am not a robot you can slice my skin and check I bleed,”
Later this week, the national selection committee and the team management, comprising chief coach Ravi Shastri and Kohli will be taking decisions on the matter during the team selection meeting for the South Africa Tests in New Delhi.
