A Chinese man has been fined for redrawing road symbols to reach home faster. According to reports, 28 years old Cai Zhi Gang was frequently held up in a traffic jam while taking the bus to home. Fed up of the regular traffic jam and delays, Cai decided to repaint the arrows in a lane that indicates traffic to turn left;he redraw it to go straight ahead instead. The young man complained that the two existing lanes on the highway to go straight on were insufficient for traffic.

The whole incident was recorded on surveillance camera. After police tracked him down Cai admitted what he had done.
He said, “I saw the straight lane was always packed with cars, while the turning left lane has a lot of space. So I thought changing the signs would make my commute smoother.”
