Anything can happen in India!
A young man from Bihar, who was travelling from Dharamshala to Delhi in a Volvo bus has been booked for allegedly pulling out his stinking socks in the bus.
This strange incident took place on the intervening night of November 26 and 27, when 27 year old Prakash Kumar took off his shoes and socks in the bus. The socks were stinking very bad. A fellow passenger asked him to either put that stinking socks in a bag or throw out of the bus because he was unable to bear that bad odor. Kumar refused to do so which led to a heated argument.
Driver and conductor of the bus tried to settle the matter and asked Prakash to throw out the socks, but he refused and matter got tangled. Passengers then asked the driver and conductor to stop the bus at Bharwain police station in Una district and file a complaint against Prakash.
At Bharwain police station, he was booked under Section 107/51 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) for “causing public nuisance”.
In revert, Prakash filed a complaint against fellow passengers claiming that his socks did not stink and they fought with him for no reason. He was later released on surety by the sub-divisional magistrate.
