Zaira Wasim Molestation Case: Accused Businessman Sent To Judicial Custody Till December 22

The 39-year-old senior executive of an entertainment company, Vikas Sachdeva who was accused of molesting actress Zaira Wasim on-board a Delhi-Mumbai Vistara flight, has been sent to judicial custody till December 22.

The defendant Mumbai’s Dindoshi session court passed the order, after Mumbai police produced the accused in court and sought to extend the custody of Sachdeva as the statements of passengers and the victim were yet to be recorded.
Meanwhile, the defense counsel argued that Sachdeva has co-operated with police in the investigation, and filed a bail plea which will be heard on December 15.

Sachdeva’s lawyer told to investigators that accused was quick to apologize to the actress as his foot touched her accidentally when he was sleeping throughout the journey.
The accused was arrested on Sunday by Mumbai’s Sahar Police for allegedly molesting 17-year-old Zaira Wasim, on-board Air Vistara.

This whole incident came to spotlight when Zaira shared the trauma she had to go through the molestation in an Instagram story.
